Serenity Reyes was nothing short of dominant in the circle as the Bonita Varsity Bearcats secured a 5-2 victory over the Yucaipa Varsity Thunderbirds on Thursday. Reyes struck out 11 batters, allowing only two hits and two runs in six innings of work. She also issued two walks, controlling the game from start to finish.

The Bearcats took the lead early in the second inning when a Yucaipa error allowed one run to score. Koa Puppe then stepped up to the plate and launched a two-run homer to center field, extending Bonita’s lead to 3-0.

Reyes and the Bearcats held on to secure the win, continuing their strong performance throughout the game. The victory was a testament to both Reyes’ pitching dominance and the timely offense provided by her teammates.
