Edison ended the regular season with an overall record of 7-4, placing them in division 3 for the CIF Southern Selection. Last Thursday, they faced off against Noth Torrance for the first round of playoffs.
Edison draws first blood against North Torrance. In the first quarter, Sam Edmiston scored a 3-yard Rushing touchdown, putting the Chargers in the lead. Edmiston would go on to have a great night, rushing for 46 yards and having 7 receptions for 63 yards.

Quarterback Sam Thomson would start in his playoff game as a sophomore! In the second quarter, Sam Thomson threw an absolute dime to Aiden Brown, who would go on to score a 60-yard TD. Heading into halftime, the Chargers would be up 14-0.

Although not 100% healthy, Juluis Gllick always put up a great fight. Gillick would go on to have a 27-yard rushing touchdown. Along that, he would go on to have 104 rushing yards with 10 carries.

Despite North Torrance averaging 31 points per game all season, Edison’s defense was on top and made sure to put them in their place. Carson Schmidt would have an interception in the second half. When the Saxons were in the red zone, Jake Minter and Jacon Martin would make sure that they remained scoreless. Edison had shut out North Torrance, with the final score being 24-0.

Edison will travel to La Verne to face off against Bonita High School for the quarterfinals in playoffs.
