The Corona Del Mar Sea Kings received a loss in the CIF Division 4 finals. Fast forward to the 7 on 7 showcase, they have nearly missed a beat. I attended the showcase on May 10th, and here are the key takeaways.
Returning athletic weapons Wyatt Lucas, Dorset Stecker, and Sebastien Boydell on the attack. Strong playmakers such as Brady Gadol and Nick Telesco on the defense make it look like the team has veteran starters ready to make some noise this upcoming season.
Another key factor that will play a huge part in this upcoming season is Zach Giuliano. Currently, committed to Stanford University, the 6’6, 230 lbs, tight end earned all-first-team Sunset League honors last season. He is definitely ready to make a bang in his senior season.
Upcoming stars such as Max Nashed and Garret James not only contribute to this powerful offense, but they also play a big role in the hopes of CDM. Praying to start next season on a hot streak.

The CDM boys went 3-0-1 in the Battle at the Bay. They played such strong teams including Huntington Beach and Crean Lutheran. They showed out with a promising air-threat offense and strong defense. With little work, they can for sure progress into a dominant team.
Max Nashed showed flashes of a confident and well-rounded quarterback behind the ball today. Yet, he has large shoes to fill as senior quarterback as Kaleb Annett goes off to play for Boise State.
Wyatt Lucas class of 2025, stated on his squad for next season “This year our O-Line is looking a lot better. We have a lot of returners as well as a lot of playmakers on offense… Dorsett, Max Nashed.”
In addition, he made a statement on how last season ended “We ended kinda rough… We made it to the championship, but this year it will be different.”
The Sea Kings look scary and we cannot wait to see how they’ll perform during this next action-packed season.
