Duarte opened the scoring late in the first quarter with a rushing touchdown, followed by a successful PAT to take an early 7-0 lead. Nordhoff responded in the second quarter with a determined drive capped by a one-yard rushing touchdown, leveling the score at 7-7. The Falcons regained their advantage before halftime with a passing touchdown, making it 14-7 heading into the break.
The second half was a test of grit, with Nordhoff tying the game at 14-14 in the fourth quarter thanks to another rushing touchdown. Both teams exchanged late scores, sending the game into overtime tied at 21-21.
