The Los Angeles Rams are gearing up and preparing for the 2024 NFL Season, and there is a lot of excitement and anticipation surrounding them with recent trades and new prospects for this season.
The Rams are coming off of a 10-7 season that ended in the playoffs last year to the Detroit Lions. Led by Head Coach Sean McVay for an eighth year, the Rams are looking to build on last year’s hopeful success and make a deeper playoff run, as they did in 2022.
Key Players, Health Status’:
Quarterback Matthew Stafford is back and he is healthy, ready to lead the Rams’ offence for the 2024 season. His offensive experience and leadership will be crucial for the Rams to have a successful season.
Wide Receiver Cooper Kupp is fully recovered from last season’s injuries, and Kupp is expected to be a major target for Stafford. In their 2024 season opener against the Detroit Lions, Kupp claimed 120 total yards and a touchdown.

Wide Receiver Puka Nacua emerged as a key player for the Rams last season, but with a recently concurrent and aggravating knee injury, Nacua will start the 2024 season on injury reserve on the sidelines. Nacua will be out for at least 4 or 5 weeks, and it is still unclear when he is expected to return to the field.
Running Back Kyren Williams is the Rams’ starting running back with a currently healthy status and is expected to be a significant contributor to the Rams in the backfield.

Recent Trades and Acquisitions:
The Rams have made several moves in the offseason:
-Left Guard Jonah Jackson, signed for a 3 year, $51 million deal
-Tight End Colby Parkinson was signed to add depth to the Rams roster and for a target in the red zone
-Safety Kamren Curl is signed for a two year deal to strengthen the defense and secondary
-Linebacker Ernest Jones was traded away to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a fifth round pick in the 2026 draft.
This year, the Rams have an overall challenging schedule, but with new signings and a nice offseason break, they have the talent and depth to compete. They have:

-Offensive Consistency: With Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and a even more solid offensive line, the Rams have the opportunity to be one of the best offenses in the league
-Defensive Adjustments: the retirement of Aaron Donald left a significant gap in the Rams’ defense, but young stars such as Byron Young and Kobie turner are expected to step up this season
This season, the Rams are looking to dig deeper into the playoffs than they did last year, losing to the Lions in the NFC Wild Card Round, 23-24. They’ll be hoping to return to their former 2022 Super Bowl Winning Glory, though that does not seem probable for this season. Though, anything can happen!
